Auburn Public Schools, District #29, is a public school district in Nemaha County, Nebraska baseded in Auburn. The school district includes the towns of Auburn, Brownville, Howe, Julian, Peru & the surrounding area in southeast Nebraska. Auburn Public Schools operates the following schools: *Calvert Elementary serves students in grades preschool through 5th grade *Auburn Middle School *Auburn High School (Auburn Middle School and Aubirn High School are located in the same building) *The Alternative Education Center is located at the Central Office and serves students of all grades. == Auburn School Board == The Auburn School Board consists of six members who are elected by the voters of the district. Board members serve four-year staggered terms. All members are voted at large. The board sets school policies within the guidelines of state and federal law and the Nebraska State Board of Education. Board meetings are held the second Monday of each month at the Auburn Schools Central Office board room, located at 1713 J Street, Auburn, Nebraska.
